At Kardinal Schwarzenberg Klinikum GmbH, the Department of Internal Medicine 1 is conducting clinical trials focused on cardiovascular diseases, with particular attention to acute myocardial infarction and the prevention of recurrent ischemic stroke after a recent event. These studies aim to improve treatment effectiveness and reduce the risk of future clot-related complications.

• Evaluating a new oral therapy to help prevent stroke in patients after acute non-cardioembolic ischemic stroke or high-risk transient ischemic attack
• Studying whether more intensive management of cardiovascular risk factors can better protect patients at high risk of recurrent events
