Cardiovascular Research
The program at this site concentrates on Cardiovascular Diseases, with a particular emphasis on Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and associated lipid abnormalities such as elevated lipoprotein (a). Ongoing studies are designed to evaluate novel therapies that may reduce cardiovascular events in patients who are overweight, obese, or have high Lp(a) levels.
- Evaluation of maridebart cafraglutide as an adjunct to standard care to lower CV morbidity and mortality.
- Assessment of olpasiran for Lp(a) reduction and prevention of coronary heart disease events.
Research activities are carried out at Novate s.r.o. in Bratislava, Slovakia, where two clinical trials are being led by a single investigator.
