Exploring Imagery Rescripting for OCD and BDD: A Study on Beliefs and Symptoms

Are you dealing with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) or Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)? We’re conducting a study that might interest you. Our study focuses on Imagery Rescripting (ImRs), a treatment approach we believe could help individuals with OCD and BDD.

In this study, we aim to explore how ImRs can influence the core beliefs and symptoms associated with OCD and BDD. We’re curious about whether this treatment can bring about positive changes in how you feel and think, potentially reducing the severity of OCD and BDD symptoms.

Participants will first go through a waiting period lasting between 3 to 8 weeks. After this, you’ll receive 12 sessions of ImRs treatment, conducted twice a week. We’ll also have a follow-up assessment 6 weeks after the treatment ends to see how you’re doing.

Throughout the study, we’ll ask you to rate your feelings, beliefs, and the severity of your OCD or BDD symptoms using simple scales. Additionally, we’ll use some questionnaires to understand your symptoms and emotions better.

After the treatment, we’d love to hear about your experience. This will help us understand the effectiveness of ImRs and how it can be improved for others like you.

If you’re interested in exploring a new avenue for managing OCD or BDD symptoms, this study might be a good fit for you.
