    To evaluate the effectiveness of nivolumab used alone and in combination with HBI-8000 in the treatment of unresectable or metastatic melanoma

    This is a study comparing two treatment options for patients with melanoma that cannot be surgically removed or has spread to other parts of the body. One treatment option is an investigational drug called Tucidinostat (HBI-8000) taken by mouth twice a week in combination with an approved drug called nivolumab given by intravenous infusion. Another option is a placebo taken orally twice a week, also in combination with nivolumab given by intravenous infusion.

    The primary goal of the study is to determine whether the combination of HBI-8000 and nivolumab is more effective than nivolumab alone in shrinking the tumor or preventing further tumor progression. The study will also assess the safety of the treatment combinations.

    Patients enrolled in the main study will be randomly assigned to receive either the HBI-8000 combination or a placebo combination. Treatment will continue for up to 2 years or until the cancer progresses, side effects worsen or the patient decides to withdraw from the study. The study will last up to 4 years and will include regular monitoring and follow-up visits.

  • Study on dazostinag & pembrolizumab for advanced solid tumors

    The purpose of this study is to test a new drug called dazostinag. A study is being conducted to see whether this drug is helpful in adults with advanced forms of solid cancer. Some people are given dazostinag alone, while others are given it with another medicine called pembrolizumab. Scientists’ focus here is on finding out whether these drugs cause any side effects, and finding out what the maximum dose is that people can take without serious side effects. The study consists of two parts, including a dose escalation phase and a dose escalation phase. In the first part, the dose of dazostinag will be gradually increased, given alone or in combination with pembrolizumab. In the second part, Dazostinag will be tested with pembrolizumab and other anticancer drugs. This section will focus on patients with specific cancers that are difficult to remove or have spread to other parts of the body.

    This study, known as CAMBRIA-2, aims to test a medication called Camizestrant for treating early-stage breast cancer that is ER+ and HER2-. It will compare Camizestrant with the standard treatments currently used, which are either Aromatase Inhibitor or Tamoxifen. The study is specifically focused on patients with ER+/HER2- breast cancer who are at high or medium-high risk of their cancer returning. Before they can participate, these patients must have finished all planned cancer treatments, such as surgery or chemotherapy, and currently show no signs of the disease. The main goal of the study is to see whether Camizestrant helps to prevent breast cancer from coming back. This would be measured by looking at the time from when patients join the study to when they first see their breast cancer return, or unfortunately, pass away. The study also aims to see whether Camizestrant improves other measures, such as overall survival and quality of life.

    This study is exploring a new treatment for women with advanced breast cancer.     This study, known as CAPItello-292, is testing a new combination of drugs to see if it can help treat advanced or spreading breast cancer. The drugs include one called capivasertib along with two others known as CDK4/6 inhibitors and another drug called fulvestrant. The study wants to see how well these work together and how safe they are. Firstly, they need to decide on the best dose of these drugs to use together. Then, the main part of the study will compare these drugs with the usual treatment – either of the CDK4/6 inhibitors with fulvestrant — to see which is better. Scientists will check the blood of the patients to see how much of the drugs are present. They also want to see how many people have side effects and how severe these are. Patients’ health will also be monitored, including heart tests, blood tests and checking vital signs. The ultimate goal is to see if this new treatment can slow down the growth of the cancer, or even shrink it. In simpler words, this is a study for people with a type of advanced breast cancer. It’s testing three drugs together — capivasertib, a CDK4/6 inhibitor, and fulvestrant. This study is made up of two parts. The first part is to decide on the right amount of these drugs to give at the same time. Then, they’ll test this against the usual treatment to see if it’s better. They’ll use blood tests to check how much of the drugs are in the body and will carefully watch for any side effects. They’ll also keep a close eye on people’s health overall. The main aim is to see if this new combination can stop the cancer from getting worse. The CAPItello-292 trial is aimed at patients with serious breast cancer that has started to spread.   • Exploring sacituzumab govitecan for HER2-negative breast cancer care
