The study involves a medication called ticagrelor, which is used to help prevent dangerous blood clots in people who have experienced an acute coronary syndrome or a myocardial infarction and are at high risk of another clot‑related event. Two versions of the same medicine are being compared: a hard capsule identified as PG402 and a film‑coated tablet marketed as Brilique. Both contain the same active ingredient and are taken by mouth.
The purpose of the trial is to determine whether the two formulations are bioequivalence, meaning they deliver the same amount of medication to the body in the same amount of time. Healthy volunteers will be assigned at random to receive one form of the drug after an overnight fast, then, after a short break, will receive the other form under the same conditions. This allows researchers to compare how quickly and how much of the drug appears in the bloodstream without using any invasive procedures.
