Bacterial Infections and Mycoses
At Pediatrie Slunicko s.r.o. a private practice in Prague, researchers focus on preventing serious bacterial infections in young children. Current studies evaluate new pneumococcal and meningococcal vaccines to protect infants, toddlers and pre‑term babies. The trials aim to show that the immune response generated by the investigational products is at least as strong as, or stronger than, that of existing vaccines, while monitoring safety in the pediatric population.
- Assessment of IgG antibody response to a 21‑valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine
- Comparison of serotype‑specific immunity between investigational and licensed pneumococcal vaccines
- Evaluation of safety and immunogenicity of a pentavalent meningococcal ABCYW vaccine across age groups
- Measurement of functional antibody activity against meningococcal serogroups A, C, W‑135, Y and B
The site has conducted two pediatric vaccine trials under the guidance of two investigators, contributing valuable data to the European effort against bacterial infections.
